I am an Ophthalmic Nurse Practitioner working in Greater Glasgow and Clyde. I hold both a clinical and surgical role in this capacity, with my original clinical background being in Acute Coronary Care. Currently I oversee three sites, but also provide specialist cover to a wide range of hospitals throughout the Greater Glasgow area. I have a Graduate Certificate in Ophthalmology as well as registered qualifications in Education in Practice and Academic Settings. Working also as a subject specialist in Glasgow Caledonian University, I develop curriculum, content and assessment for a bespoke specialist Graduate Certificate course in Ophthalmology. I enjoy teaching because I enjoy learning and I find that the best way for myself to learn, is to be asked questions I don’t know the answers to!
